I had the privilege of attending the unveiling of the McKenzie Covenant at Mt Hamilton Station yesterday. Pāmu Farms (Landcorp) have protected 1,456ha of wetlands, Red Tussock land and regenerating Silver Beech forest.
Covenants are a great way of protecting biodiversity and can improve your farm's operation by fencing off a sensitive or hard-to manage area, whilst providing benefits like improved water quality and shade for stock in nearby paddocks.
